How to Play Truth or Dare

Truth or Dare on Spice Up is a modern take on the classic. A name card is dealt to pick who's in the hot seat, they choose truth or dare, and the app delivers a prompt matched to the group's intensity level. No arguing about who asked, no rehashing the same ten questions.

How to set up

1. Add at least two players to your group
2. Set any personal limits if needed
3. Complete consent and agree on a safe word
4. Pick Truth or Dare from the game menu
5. Choose your starting intensity level

How a round works

1. Tap Deal, a name card picks who's in the hot seat
2. That player chooses: Truth or Dare
3. The app reveals the prompt
4. The hot seat player answers honestly or completes the dare
5. If they refuse, a forfeit can be enabled in settings
6. Tap Deal again for the next round

Intensity levels

• Gentle: Light, personal questions. Nothing explicit.
• Playful: Mild truths and light dares involving physical contact.
• Spicy: Explicit questions and dares with real heat.
• Wild: Full intensity. No filter.

Forfeits

Forfeits are optional and disabled by default. When enabled, a player who refuses a truth or dare is given a forfeit instead. Tap the settings icon to configure forfeit options.

How many players do I need?

Two or more. With larger groups you get more variety in who gets spun.

Can I customise which truths and dares appear?

Not individually, but you can set each player's personal limits. Content tagged with a player's off-limits topics will be filtered out for them.
