Spice Up › Hot Seat
Hot Seat
One player takes the hot seat and the whole group fires questions and sets actions. Answer, act, or take a forfeit. Four intensity levels decide how personal it gets.
How a round works
- Spin to choose who takes the hot seat.
- The group asks the questions and sets the actions.
- The player in the seat answers, acts, or takes a forfeit.
- The seat rotates so everyone faces the group before anyone repeats.
What to expect
- Two or more players, better with four or more.
- The group asks, one player answers. Then the seat moves on.
- Four intensity levels for both questions and physical actions.
- Passing is always allowed and costs nothing but a forfeit.
Hot Seat, answered
How does Hot Seat work?
One player faces the whole group. The app supplies questions and physical actions, and about one prompt in four is an action rather than a question.
How many players do you need?
Two at minimum, but it is much better with four or more, because the game is really about the group dynamic.
Can the player in the hot seat refuse?
Yes, on any prompt, with no explanation needed. Actions in particular should be checked with everyone involved first.
What changes at higher intensity?
Questions get more personal and actions more physical. Wild has no filter and only unlocks when the group chooses it.
