Slow Burn, a Guided Date Night Game
Leave the night to us. Slow Burn tells the evening as a story in chapters: first you talk, then a dare or two, then touch. When a level is done the app asks if you are ready to take it up a notch, and the story starts again a little hotter.
How a round works
- Get comfortable together first. The first card says how.
- Take turns reading a card to each other, and do what it says, or redeal it.
- At the end of a chapter, turn the page or stay a little longer.
- After the touch chapter, take it up a notch when you are both ready.
What to expect
- Written for two people who are into each other. A bigger group plays it in pairs.
- Each chapter opens with a line of story, then three to five cards.
- Nothing moves on without a tap. Not yet always means more of the same.
- Any card can be redealt, and every card respects the limits each player set.
Slow Burn, a Guided Date Night Game, answered
How does Slow Burn work?
The app paces the evening for you. Each level has three chapters, talk, dare and touch, and each chapter deals a few cards before asking if you are ready to turn the page.
Does it get hotter on its own?
No. It asks, and a no just means more cards at the same level. Two nos and it stops asking until you move the level yourself.
Can more than two people play?
Yes. Each chapter is dealt to one pair who are into each other, and the next chapter to another pair, so the story stays between two people at a time.
How does it end?
When the last chapter is done the book closes and hands the night back to you. What happens next is up to you.
