How to Play Shuffled Together

Game guides ยท Updated

Shuffled Together is a game whose content is the other games. You choose two or more of your favourites, the app shuffles their decks into one, and you play a few turns of one game before it deals the next. Nothing repeats until every chosen game has had a go, and the shuffle goes on for as long as you keep playing. It is the answer to the evening that stalls because nobody wants to be the one to say "shall we try something else?"

Play Shuffled Together

How it works

  1. Tap the Shuffled Together box on the shelf
  2. Choose two or more decks. Only games your group can play are offered
  3. Tap Shuffle them. The first game is dealt and you play it as normal
  4. After four to six turns, a slip appears above the controls: the next deck is up
  5. Tap Let's go to switch, or Not yet to stay a little longer

Each game gets a random handful of turns rather than a fixed number, so the room cannot count down to the switch. Not knowing what comes next is the point.

What goes in the shuffle

Six games can be shuffled: Temptation, Truth or Dare, Who Does What, Never Have I Ever, Hot Seat and Would You Rather. They are the ones built around a turn, which is what the shuffle counts. Games with their own flow, like Open Up and Power Play, stay out.

Mix talk and touch. The shuffle is at its best with one or two talking games and one or two physical ones. A few dilemmas between rounds of Who Does What give the room a breather without letting it cool.

Why the evening keeps climbing

Switching games by hand usually means starting cold: the heat reset, the room re-finding its level. Shuffled Together carries everything across. The level you are on, every player's limits, the modifiers you opted into and the nudge that offers a level up all keep their place. Twenty turns in is one warmed-up evening rather than five cold starts.

Not yet

The next deck is a slip above the controls, not a pop-up, so the turn on screen is never swept away. A dare nobody has done yet stays until you are ready. Not yet clears the slip, deals the current game a fresh handful of turns, and the next deck comes back around later. The shuffle is untouched, because the game it dealt never left it.

The rules worth knowing

Shuffled Together, answered

How many players does Shuffled Together need?

Two or more, and at least two games your group can play. Only games the room qualifies for are offered, by the same rules the shelf uses.

Can I stay on a game I am enjoying?

Yes. Tap Not yet when the slip appears and the current game deals a fresh run of turns. The next deck comes around later.

Does the intensity reset when the game changes?

No. Intensity, limits and modifiers are shared across the whole evening, so a switch picks up exactly where the last game left off.

Can I put every game in?

Every game built around a turn, which is six of them. Open Up, Yes, No, Maybe, Power Play and the room games run their own flows and are played on their own.

Was this game called Shuffled Together?

Yes, until September 2026, when every game on Spice Up became a deck of cards. A bowl made no sense on a table of decks. A shuffle does.

Everything above is built into Shuffled Together in the app. It handles the order, the intensity and who goes next, so nobody has to keep track.
